Just wondering, anyone know the CORRECT answer for M.C. Q4, 12, 15 and 17?
4) D
12) A
15) A
17) B
but 17 is D i'm sure of it. Cause look, at the start, they all accumulate starch?

Option D reads "the increase in starch during the second 12-hour period is greater than the increase in any other 12-hour period."

This is not true.  The 2nd 12-hour period is between 12-24hours.  Yes, there was an increase in starch here.  However, compare this increase to the increase between 36-48hours.  Obviously the increase in the 2nd 12-hour period cannot be greater than the increase in ANY OTHER 12-hour period.
i meant C sorry :P

Addition of auxin did not affect starch accumulation.  Starch accumulation stayed mostly constant.  Also no immediate effect.  B is the better choice, I reckon.
could C be right :(

C is correct becuase there is an immediate effect as you can see that the points on the y-axis for the auxin etc. is at different points and the line moves to the right at different gradients suggesting that they have an immediate effect. B is wrong becuase auxin does stimulate the accumulation for starch just not much - they all stimulate the accumulation of starch.

"An experiment was carried out to investigate the separate effects of two plant hormones on tobacco plant cells.
The graphs below show results of the treatments in the 48 hours following addition of the hormones."

Its not testing the combination of hormones together so C is incorrect, only B is correct

i think multi choice 24 is D isnt it?

If an A group person received AB blood, they'd recognise the B antigen as foreign and produce antibodies against it, which would result in widespread blood clotting.
