I think you're underestimating how excited you get after finishing your final exam. You'll probably want to run around everywhere, so laser tag first and then grass sitting once you get tired of running around might be a good option.

.... I have a German role play coming up on Wednesday.

I'm preparing now but I can't help feeling apprehensive.

I don't think I'm very good at being spontaneous with language. I have to know what I'm doing first and the idea of being presented with an unfamiliar scenario and responding with language is...a little nervewracking :) . I guess I'll be ok, I just have to get the flow going and know the vocab and not worry if I mess up halfway through. AND I NEED MORE PRACTICE. GOSH.

Are there any German speakers out there who would be prepared to practice with me on skype or something?

I would opt for bowling, btw.

I really didn't expect to find anybody else doing it via distance, let alone two people! It makes me feel strangely more comfortable

I get really confused haha, one second I'll think 'oh, spesh is fine,' then next second I'll be having a mini mental breakdown. So I have mixed emotions towards doing it by distance.

Haha, you've just encapsulated my thoughts in two sentences

A meet up sounds nice. Can newbies like me come along too? Though, it'll be funny telling my parents I'm going to meet up with a bunch of people off the Internet to sit on the grass and hold hands... The laser tag/bowling part will be easier to explain haha

I've never been either! Every time it came down to bowling or laser tag we would all debate and then bowling would eventually get chosen like usual.  :P

Laser tag is nothing that special. It usually disintegrates into people right next to each other aiming at each other and just firing rapidly, hoping that when their gun comes back on their shot registers before the opponent's.

I suppose it makes it feel like you're not the only one in that situation. That there are other people out there doing what you're doing, in those same circumstances. For me, having another person at my school, a good mate of mine, doing the subject with me has kind of helped, so I definitely see the comfort thing.

My vote would go to paintball. ;)

I've noticed if you take an interest in what you're studying you'll find it much easier to learn the content. I hated all my subject in year 11, especially P.E and I was actually on the brink of failing Unit 1, until I started to take interest in the subject even though I told myself "ha, like I will need to know about this stupid respiratory system crap in life". I just found ways to persuade myself "You know, maybe this will come in handy. What if I was asked questions by my children "why does less blood go to our muscles when we are resting compared to exercising". I'd be able to answer that. I guess the body is actually really fascinating.

Same applies for all subjects.

I find this really useful. Has anyone ever had similar thoughts?

Yes, I agree. With Legal, even though some of the concepts seem tedious, because I love the subject in general, I find that I do well.
