Or his holidays could've started a week before ours :P

I'm sure no school is cruel enough to allow only a weeks break.....

I just discovered a piece of undone methods homework that made it past my holiday homework todo list, and now that the initial shock's all over, my night before school is definitely set.

Oh nice that's awesome then!

I had that moment, except I realised I had about three chapter worth of chemistry to do just a few days ago....

Well some of you have resumed classes today while some of us lucky ones have managed to get an extra day off. I think we've all settled down a lot since Year 11, so that's a real positive to take out. It also seems that most of us seemed to fair pretty well during term 1 with no major dramas.

Anyway, make sure that you take a few minutes some time this week to reflect on how things went in term 1 and what needs to change for term 2. For me, I was pretty happy with how term 1 panned out, but some things I need to address are:

1. I need to stay more on the ball for English. For the first seven weeks of the term, I was doing really well, writing at least one language analysis essay every week. For the last couple of weeks, I've really let myself down for text response. My teacher wasn't setting much work for us to do, but I didn't act upon it and let things slide. With only one and a half weeks to go until the SAC, I've only written two essays and I don't see myself being able to write too many more.
2. I need to allocate study-free times in my timetable. These holidays, I only got three days off and two of those were days where I had family commitments. In other words, today is the only day I've actually had time for myself. I think I may have to take a day off every few weekends and make sure that I get more days off next holidays. Otherwise, I really risk burning out.

I wasn't too happy with my term 1 performance. Time to buck up for term 2 & endure those cold winter months!  :D
