My spesh class wasn't fortunate enough to be given an assignment SAC. How can an assignment ever be classified as a SAC? It's not testing what you know; it's essentially testing how much help you can get from external sources.

I couldn't agree more! We had one of those "project" SAC's for further that went for 4 periods and students were helping each other, getting figures off calculators and everything. :(

That's just unfair, but I suppose schools will do what they have to do. Sorry for the outburst by the way  :P

Our assignment SACs (which were damn troublesome haha) always had tests after them with each weighed the same. So if you did well on the assignment but bombed the test the teacher knew something was up :P

Seemed fair to me.

Yeah but there's still a 50/50 involved. If the SAC was out of 100%, you would do 50% better than you would if the SAC was entirely a test.

You can counter that and say "so would the rest of the cohort", which essentially means the SAC is entirely a test anyway to determine ranking.

^ so assignment + test = fair

But if the SAC is solely an assignment, its totally unfair. OCD led me to clarify my viewpoint.  :P

No, but I woke up today with a cough and headache, went back to bed and woke up at eleven. I to got to school at lunch time because I had to be there for history and get info for the art sac which is tomorrow. I have four sacs this week so I can't slow down, haha. All will be well.

That's good to hear! That's the spirit! :D

On a similar topic, how's everyone's attendance this year? Mine's perfect apart from going to the annual budget breakfast at The Sofitel to represent school! (and probably a few other excursions I've forgotten)
