Something Stick rightfully brought up in a thread last week sometime and might interest a few of you -> How university works

Feel free to ask any general uni-life questions there for a collaborated response to be created for y'all :)

I've gone one step better and started redesigning my closet, trip to Bunnings for some wood? I think so!!

I'm also designing a front diffuser for my dad's car as a little side project for later when I get my own car :D So I'll be even more busy during the holidays!

I've been having a similar problem too (although only with English really). That being said, I'm still doing around 6 hours every day. Last holidays I was doing about 10 though. I was hoping I'd be moving through my checklist a little bit quicker, but I guess I feel more relaxed these holidays and I can say that I have (somewhat) taken a break. :/

* Oops. I meant done. Gotta read my posts again, haha.

Yeah, and I find myself on the computer and I know I'm procrastinating but there's just too much to do. I've ticked off revision question on my checklist so I'm moving.

Haha, same with me but I've been actually doing more these holidays than I've ever done in my life. Plus my reports came and I was happy so that motivated me a little. I guess the thing that I need to work on is just sitting down and focusing for at least 25 minutes and getting down and working. Like, I find that after a while doing work isn't that bad but getting into it is the hardest part.

Wow, you're a gun! I only plan on getting at least 4 major tasks done but I'll hopefully get the majority done over this break.

Being totally honest here... I've only done about 4 or so hours of homework so far these holidays! And I'm actually really proud of myself for it!
My parents kept telling me that I'd turned into a homework destroying hermit and that if I didn't get out of the house these holidays they'd force me themselves!
I feel pretty guilty about not doing much, but meh! We all need a break, especially since schools going to get super intense one holidays are over! Just don't forget to rest these holidays guys, it's actually done wonders for my sanity :D

Yeah I've definitely been resting up a lot these holidays which is good! And I a able to do work, but like jeanweasley said, its the notion of sitting down and getting this done which im struggling with, along with the need to procrastinate and waste time on the internet.

I'VE FINALLY FINISHED ALL OF MY LEGAL & ENGLISH HW AND NOW I'M HALFWAY THROUGH REVS REVISION! WOOOOOO.
Sorry for the caps, I'm just so happy. I've been really lazy the past few days. I'd really like to spend Sat and Sunday completing unit 3 practice exams for Legal, Eng and Revs though.
I'll be spending most of next week working on Further Maths and Methods :)

I haven't done much really. I planned on spending the first few days just relaxing but as usual it didn't go according to plan. I'm in a bit of a dilemma about university courses, so it's not 'relaxing' lol. I revised some unit 3 content today, which was good, and I plan on finishing my revision tomorrow before starting in my unit 4 work.

For me, for subjects like Business, Further and English, I'm happy to study for. In that I enjoy those subjects because I feel I do well in them and I understand everything. However when I think about methods and chemistry, I just can't be bothered, and I can't bring myself to sit down at a table with work from those subjects when lets face it, there's so many other things that we could be doing.

That's essentially what separates people like me from the true hard workers, I know what I'll wish I did study right now maybe a week or two into school, but right now, I can't seem to do it. I mean, I'll get it done sooner or later, but I wish it was more progressive than a last weekend bulk homework sesh.
