edit; oh and, most of the articles I've found online or from practice exams weren't that helpful. You'll notice that VCAA assessors spend a lot of time deliberately adding in persuasive 'techniques' for students.

Very true! Sometimes they make it hard though, especially finding the contention for a piece. =/

It's 8:30! So I'm going to assume you have an exam tomorrow, so best of luck :)
If not, then....casual handshake, glides hand over hair situation.

Okay, so there are no exams tomorrow.

LOL! Considering English is in 2 days, you need to get a very good night's sleep. I'm probably going to bed at 8 tomorrow. Been a very long time since I've done this before. :p

how do u guys get rid of those exam jitters and anxiety attacks?
follow these steps:
1. you take a deep breath
2. look out the window (or at anything really)
3. realise that the english exam is coming up
4. have an epiphany that its not the be all and end all, and the 'final year of school stress' is something we've unfortunately inherited from previous generations, where transferring was never an option.
5. realise by association that pathways exist, making these exams merely one of those options
6. realise that this thrill of exams is something that is all part and parcel of being young
7. embrace it and have fun in your exams - think of it as another opportunity to do something together with your friends (cheesy, but it works)
8. Eat cereal

disclaimer: steps 2 and 8 are optional, well not option 8 so much. thats actually kind of important ;)

I love Nutri-Grain! :)

Cornflakes and Weetbix are more ideal to eat for Breakfast, especially for an Exam. How many Weetbix do you do? :P

This just reminded me, are we allowed to chew gum in the exams?

Chewing on gum really calms me down, and I've read somewhere that it helps you mental performance etcc.....

I just don't want to be approached in the middle of the exams to ask to spit it out or something....

Ermmmm....no. No gum allowed. I don't think you will be approached and asked to spit it out, your paper would get taken off from you. =/

No eating or drinking (apart from water) in the exam. :)
