Need some help with something weird

So the story is that one of these kids that dropped out of my school half way through year 11, and was asked to repeat year 11 and failed half of his subjects in year 10, claims that he attended Melbourne University and now he is studying Biomedical science at RMIT. Is this possible without even completing year 12 nor having any experience and also not doing well in previous years. I think it isn't true and he is lying, what do you guys think because he is claiming to get amazing results and if anyone here goes to RMIT, does anyone know a Samir, tall and muscular.

He could technically have done a Tafe pathway, entered a diploma/get really high marks and then enter into a Bachelor. Although... So he could have done that after dropping out in year 11 and now supposed to in year 12?

Why do we even go to school if you can just do that?

Oh jesus! What?! No way, that wouldn't allow him enough time. Sorry I thought you meant, dropped out in Year 11 in say, 2011, and then moved onto the Bachelor in 2013.

It may be possible to fool the university admission office with fake qualifications purchased overseas (e.g. a high school graduation certificate with flying colours). So, he might actually be studying at a university, but he most likely did not gain entry via proper (or even legal) channels.

There's a guy I know that dropped out in Year 11, did a Diploma in Engineering, then got into 2nd year Monash Engineering by the time I reached first year.

He's doing pretty well and in the end saved a year
