Discussion of Approximate "A" Cut-Off?
« on: June 09, 2009, 07:49:33 pm »
Hey,

Yes I am aware many of you easily cleared the A+ marks, I got everything right in motion and electronics (perhaps a mark or so lost on the explanations but everything else was all correct), it's just further electronics which got to me, even though it's meant to be easy.

What's the cut off approximate for an A? I know you can't really tell or know, but seeing as the general consensus is 85/90 for an A+, what are we thinking for an A?

Well, if an A's supposed to correspond to the top 20%, I'd say it'd be a maximum of 80.

80/90 he means.
I personally think the A cut off will be around 77/90.

Wrong, he meant 80/90. 80% would be 72/90. The A cut off last year was 76/90 so if the exam was alot easier this year it would have to go up!!

I estimated I got 76.5, since I seen the answers.

F_net is due to F_g, they are the same in this case.

I think A+ cut off will be 84-85.
A cut off around 79-80.
