Hey guys :)

Just wondering - What modules are you studying at school?

I'm at MPSC doing Matrices, Business maths and Networks.

last year i did

matrices, geometry & trig, business maths

our teacher told us over the past few years schools who previously did geo&trig stopped it because it was too difficult and picked up matrices instead and now vcaa has made it much easier on the exam to do well in geo&trig and made the matrices questions more commplex

Thought there would be more Geo&Trig lolz, I remember one exam question that gave you area and length of a prism and asked you to find the volume xD

In class: Graphs and Relations, Matrices, Networks.

Doing Number Patterns and maybe Trig as well.

Is it worthwhile to learn an extra module outside of class?

I've gone through all the modules and I can solemnly say that the Core is by far the most-consuming out of all modules. Especially Bivariate data!

I love the modules my school is doing - particularly Graphs and Relations, which I believe alongside Matrices is the easiest. Number Patterns is easy, just tricky + requires the ability to point out tricks that are thrown at you. Core - easy; it just takes too much time. Luckily I can spend the time revising for the SAC and the core alike for Bivariate DATA as soon as the Univariate one is done, because I finished the course!

If you had finished the course you wouldn't need to revise.

Why's that?

Because he's not 'finished' until he knows the course inside out, back to front. Finished just implies you've got no more work to do.

'Finished the course' usually means 'done all the book work.' :P
