Anyone know roughly what kind of ranking should I be getting in both UMAT and ATAR in order to have a good chance of going into dentistry? (can be interstate) Thanks

Thanks for replying Fleur, but I can't seem to find this thread you are talking about? It would be much appreciated if you posted the link. :) Cheers.

Charles Sturt University and James Cook University do not require UMAT, but you need to complete their application form/letter.

for latrobe dentistry in terms of atar you should really be aiming as high as possible, seriously aim for 99.95, because the clearly in was 99.8 last time i checked, im not sure if you need umat for la trobe ?

That's only because they screwed up the intake of 2011 with over-offering. It won't be that high again unless such blunders happen again.

Yep. English, Biology and Chem are all pre-reqs for Dentistry at La Trobe.

Possibly, it's really hard to tell. I think high-98s to low-99s is a good range to guess at.

well thats good i suppose. ill tell my friend that. he really wants dentistry, but was really disheartened by the unprecedented spike in the clearly in for this year. ill pass the good news. Hes definitely going to get 99+ (50 in 3/4 last year), but he was a bit concerned about the .80
