that sounds like a typical leftist issue.

scathing, much?

my school never did issues orals - our oral was on one of our texts.

Our oral required us to take a point of view on an issue stemming from one of our texts, effectively combining what a lot of schools do in two orals, into one. :P

i suggest staying away from anything that involves unborn babies (abortions, embryonic stem cell research, 'spare parts' babies, ect.). Did stem cell research 4 my topic last year and its just too controversial.  Also i had someone in my class ask "whats an embryo?'

I imagine that the ethics of genetic engineering might be pretty fun though.

Here would be a good chance to your own investigative reporting, and to call up your own school (if it is a government school) and ask whether some of the fees are compulsory.

because its a public school which includes a population of tight asses, not to mention the inflation rate in casual wear days is pretty pathetic. 2 bux for wearing clothes like u were going out friday night is epic failure

I never paid school fees because the school paid them for me but I think if you paid the voluntary fees you got a free photocopy card (wow, lol) and you did have to pay into the library trust which was probably around $50 or something. I have no idea what that was for, but it sounds like it was new books (not that I saw many of those...)

At my brother's Primary school, if you don't pay your voluntary fees then you can't go on excursions, which is pretty lame IMO because you're essentially paying twice for excursions.

lol, droodles. You reminded me of the out of uniform days, where you're supposed to bring a "gold coin donation" but if you didn't pay up (and you were out of uniform) then you got a detention. Of course, coming out of uniform is optional in the first place, so it's probably still voluntary.
