Time to move on to Unit 4

i think its time to finally move on from that horrible mid year exam and look towards unit 4.

is this topic less theory than unit 3?

what theory parts are there in unit 4?

the reason im asking is because i want to get all the theory parts memorised and understood early, not like unit 3 where i had to learn all the biochemistry stuff/spectroscopy/spectrometry 2 weeks before the exam (i still dont get some of the stuff)  which was hinderance for me to do practice exams fully

so yea any1?

Last night, I had a quick skim over the Heinemann book and I think that Unit 4 contains less calculations.

Is my guess right?

Nah, pretty sure there's way less maths =\ The entire stoic chunk of chem is gone pretty much. Thing with unit 4 is that it's waaaay more conceptual based though, so it might be wise to study ahead and try to learn some.

Unit 4 > Unit 3

But if I remember correctly, I panicked myself into memorizing the battery formulas (which came out in the exam, so hooah).

Definitely less calculations though. But practice drawing diagrams (of stuff like half cells) since they're easy marks in exams.

Unit 4 has way less stoich, so you can forget most of their analytical stuff in unit 3

I don't think there's that much less maths. Sure, most of stoich has gone but Unit 4 has a lot of calorimetry and equilibrium constant calculations. If there's less maths, it's because those questions have been replaced with conceptual questions such as what will happen if you change certain variables, and/or recognising graphs of how reactions proceed.

i'm informed by my chem tutor that unit 4 is more physics cos you do energy and stuff..
