Hey guys, since the Methods Study Guide has now been finished, and we’ve started sending out copies, I’d thought I’d let you know about what we’ve ended up with. There are two books which come together as a package, the first is the question book (211 pages), consisting of 16 tests and 6 exams, while the second book (536 pages) consists of model solutions and detailed solutions. The model solutions include a detailed marking scheme which points out exactly what you obtain marks for. The detailed solutions go through and explain every little part of the question, how to start off the question, what you should be looking for to bring you through it and then how to actually apply the mathematics that you know to solve it, while explaining key concepts. So even if you have no clue where to start, you should be able to understand how to approach the question from the detailed solutions.

Each book consists of the following (questions in book 1, solutions in book 2)

Section 1: Topic Tests
2 30 minute tech free and 2 60 minute tech active topic tests for the four main areas of study, Functions and Graphs, Algebra, Calculus and Probability.

Functions and Graphs Tech-Free Test 1
Functions and Graphs Tech-Free Test 2
Functions and Graphs Tech-Active Test 1
Functions and Graphs Tech-Active Test 2
Algebra Tech-Free Test 1
Algebra Tech-Free Test 2
Algebra Tech-Active Test 1
Algebra Tech-Active Test 2
Calculus Tech-Free Test 1
Calculus Tech-Free Test 2
Calculus Tech-Active Test 1
Calculus Tech-Active Test 2
Probability Tech-Free Test 1
Probability Tech-Free Test 2
Probability Tech-Active Test 1
Probability Tech-Active Test 2

Section 2: Trial Examinations
3 complete sets of full exams, that is 3 sets of a 60 minute 40 mark exam 1 and a 120 minute 80 mark exam 2.

Trial Examination Set 1, Exam 1 (Tech-Free)
Trial Examination Set 1, Exam 2 (Tech-Active)
Trial Examination Set 2, Exam 1 (Tech-Free)
Trial Examination Set 2, Exam 2 (Tech-Active)
Trial Examination Set 3, Exam 1 (Tech-Free)
Trial Examination Set 3, Exam 2 (Tech-Active)

Overall it turns out to be 840 marks worth of questions which turns out to be 21 hours total under the standard time conditions.

We've had a lot of fun writing these books and have put a lot of effort into them, and so hope you enjoy and learn something from them! :)

In addition to the above link, you can also pick it up at good academic bookstores (eg. Academic and General, JP Books, etc.) :)

Depends when you ordered it. Ships within 1-2 days and then takes however long Auspost takes (usually 1-3 days). Average wait time is 2-3 days.
