How hard is it to get a 45+ in further?

How hard is it to get a 45+ in further, if I want to focus on my other subjects rather than on further. I would say I am relatively good at math, and further looks easy.
Because I'm doing 4 subjects in year 12, I would want to focus on my other three subjects (Chem, Eng Lang and methods)which are the 'harder' than further overall.  :o

I'd say the hardest part of further is to make sure you don't make stupid mistakes on the exam (like I did)
I got a 46 without doing any summer holiday homework, missing out on about 3 weeks of school in june due to jaw surgery, and doing 18 practice exams for the whole year.
So overall, if you're pretty good at maths and spend enough time learning the concepts and using up every last second in SAC's and exams to check for errors, I think you'll be able to get a 45+
Good luck!

Approximately half as hard as getting a 45+ in Methods.

It's unfair to make such a comparison

I'm susceptible to making stupid mistakes  >:( LOL.
But i mean if i put in a decent amount of effort, like say I turn up to every class and just do the work ... with like a minimal amount of homework, is that good enough? :O

This. I think for me you just have to read the question fully because if you skim it there chances are you might have missed something.

Hmm, it's different for every person, but if you fully understand the concepts and can apply them to a wide range of problems, then you should be fine. I spent probably 3 or so hours a week doing further homework, compared to 10+ for drama... and still ended up scoring a crapola load better for further :P
And to help minimise mistakes, keep a log of common mistakes you make whilst doing questions. This way you're aware of what you usually do wrong, so you actively make sure that you don't make those same mistakes repeatedly :)

I've never thought about keeping a log of mistakes before, it should be useful though.. Thanks!

Not at all.
My answer goes to the heart of OP's query.

He has clearly stated that he is good at maths and finds Further relatively easy and wants to focus on his other subjects (including Methods) which he considers 'harder' (his own words, and I agree).

Under this scenario, where Further will be OP's lowest priority subject, it is entirely appropriate to quantify the effort required to achieve 45+ in Further as compared to the effort required to achieve a 45+ in Methods.

In my experience, if a 45+ in Methods requires an average of 8 hours per week of study, December to October, a 45+ in Further will require an average of 4 hours per week. About half as much.
