To get a mid-high 40 in health, what is actually required in general? and also, do you need to memorise statistics to put into the exam to do well, or can you not? ive heard really conflicting things from different people, and i just dont know anymore :S I thought that memorising stats was a bit absurd though...
and also, are the only definitions that need to memorised just the ones in the study design? or are others meant to be wrote learnt?
and what programs can we choose for each NHPA?? there isnt a list of ANY in the study design, and each textbook has different ones! Can i just use any?

Umm well from what I did (different people might have different study approaches for hhd and mine definitely IS NOT the only successful way) but actually I didn't memorise statistics to put into my answers - in my opinion numbers don't inform as much as actually explaining and understanding the fundamental effect or impacts of a program or disease/health condition - simply memorising stats and regurgitating them in the exam in place of a detailed answer doesn't really show that you have a deep understanding of hhd concepts I think :) VCAA don't expect you to memorise data or statistics and that's why they've got the data analysis Q's where they'll PROVIDE you with data from which you'll answer Q's! :) Memorising statistics/data on top of the already content-heavy hhd course would be so difficult haha :)

The only definitions to be memorised are the ones in the study design :)

You can use pretty much any programs for NHPA's, but I'd strongly suggest using the more "known" programs or at least the ones that are in most textbooks (i.e. SunSmart) or have been around for some time (i.e. Quit) or have been under quite prominent media focus. :) If you do use a "new" program and for any program actually, make sure you name it correctly and give a detailed enough explanation on it :) I.e. what the program does specifically and how that helps to improve health status outcomes for that nhpa :)

Hope this helped in some way :)

Yes you can use any program's for nhpa's.
the key to getting 44-50 is really using the key terms within your answers, to show you know what you mean
