You're reading 1984? That's an awesome book - I know it's linked to Whose Reality, which is the context I am studying at school this year. Is that also your context study for year 11 at MHS?

If your context is Whose Reality, it can't hurt to read from some other texts which you could incorporate in your essay, like Streetcar named Desire or Catcher in the Rye (I know these books are no longer in the study design for 2013 VCE English, but they make great references!).  :)

Every school has different set texts for yr11. You say you go to MHS, therefore I'd recommend that you don't worry and focus on getting the best marks you can in yr10 English first.

Hmmm that sounds a bit arrogant, but ok...

Have you asked your English teacher what books MHS does next year then?

I am intrigued, a lot, by that statement. Tell me please, why do you think Macbeth is so 'easy'?
