I AM NEW IN REVS, SO I DONT REALLY KNOW WHAT TYPE OF ANSWERE
EXAMINERS ARE REALLY LOOKING FOR.  I AM VERY CONFUSED WITH HOW MANY
POINT DO YOU HAVE TO WRITE FOR EACH QUESTION DEPENDING ON THE MARK. (eg; for 6 mark questions how many points should i write)?

its an image based question... students who have done revolutions,
can you please see if i am doing the "right" thing in answering this questions

its a picture representing the unequal social order, a man representing the third estate is on the ground, with his hands raising in the air
(looks like he is upholding the other two man who are representative of the 1st and 2nd estate) two man representing 1st and 2nd Estate are standing together (shoulder to shoulder). at the bottom of the pic there is a little info on the image ( a cartoon from early 1789. enscribed on the bolder are words "taile, corvees" referring to tax and excises imposed on people

and here is the questions

In 1789 France was undergoing an economic and political crisis. As Louis XVI’S government failed to stabilise the situation in France, the population started questioning Louis XVI’s and his government’s authority and abilities (absolutism was put into question). By January 1789 books of grievances were being drawn up all over France.  Political theory, rhetoric, advice, complaint became available to the public as over 40 000 pamphlets were published between May 1788 and April 1789. Political and social debate was heightened as people were invited to suggest solutions for the nation’s problems. Early 1789 was a crucial time for the third Estate, as it started to realise the inequality and injustice in the social order. And more importantly they became to understand their crucial role in upholding the nation – thus they understood their identity and saw themselves as the “nation” itself. This idea was particularly influenced by Abbie Sieyes publication of “What is The Third Estate” – where he challenged the old order and the system of privileges, he also criticised the other two Estates that they only took advantageous and honoury positions despite their lack of contribution to the country, whereas the 3rd estate fulfilled public duties and provided every type of public service- thus he concluded that the third Estate is the nation and an everything shackled and oppressed. More importantly he called for the third Estate to rise up and take their rightful place. Revolutionary ideas like this were not put into the public domain prior to 1789. So pictures like this were published in 1789 because people started to doubt the political, economic and social structure of france, and thus highly criticized system of privileges and aristocratic absolutism.

Hey koby, im also doing revolutions this year, im not entirely sure if im correct, but ill give it a go. The question is a historiography question so you need to refer to the document more. I think you know the knowledge well since youve included dates and events which is good, but what may bring you down is since you havent refered to the document.

I would write something like "From the document, which has depicted the Third Estate to have been mistreated by the Upper estates. The image aims to demonstrate the rising tensions which existed within the Third Estate and their dissent towards the taxes 'taille, corvee'; from the Third Estate raising their hands. This has lead to the revolutionary tensions arising in France [evidence] .... "

I hope I'm write and have helped, can anyone confirm lol ?

REVOLUTIONS THIS YEAR IS my worst nightmare, my teacher was away for half the term, we had to read ideas
and some of the events on the holidays because we couldnt finish it in class , and i have my sac first monday back.

No problems. My teacher taught me prior to our historiography sac.
That sucks for you, well you always have atarnotes to clarify anything if your teacher isnt there.

Good tips from cookiemonster. With answers to 6-mark questions, structure is probably less of an issue than in the 10-mark questions. Just be sure you address the question, bring in your own knowledge and include 1-2 links back to the source (not something you did in your answer).
