Hi Guys  :D

Last year i had some friends who graduated YR 12 successfully....

They typed there study scores onto the ENTER CALC and got a higher score than their actual ENTER.

IT WAS OFF BY 2 OR 3 PERCENT....

And same happened to my other friend?
Is this program not exactly accurate?

Regards,
 :o :o :o :o

Currently it is based on last year's results (I think).

So this year it might change, but normally it shouldn't differ too much.

It should def not be out by 2-3%. Id say + or - 1% 95% of the time accurate.

Maybe your friends data was wrong or they said ther enter was higher than it was?

Aggregate data change year to year, and 2008 data was quite different to many previous years due to a sudden decrease in scaling of specialist maths. Hence in 2008, less aggregate is required to achieve a higher ENTER, which can explain why a 2~3 point higher ENTER being calculated if previous year scores were used.

Otherwise, I believe it is accurate to within 0.10 for 2008 scores.

Hmmm I tried my cousins scores ( she sent me her enter thingo) and it's roughly the same.
About .2 off. I'm guessing it's because the real ones have all these decimals and stuff but the estimator is just whole numbers.

study estimator is pretty accurate... i entered my methods results in and it came up with the correct range.

I put my scores in and it was a little higher than my ENTER. II guess there's always a margin of error...

Im not saying the scaling is wrong, but in comparison to the actual enter, its slightly different.
