Hi all,
Could somebody please give me an example of animation? As in the linguistic technique?

Animation is a technique when an inanimate object is given animate qualities. For instance, saying that the rock was flying through the air would be animating it. NOTE: animation is different from personification. Human characteristics may not necessary be animate, like "the rock defended resolutely against the battering wind".
