It doesn't seem to be part of the study design, but I wanted to double check that it's non-examinable. I'm referring to pages 232-236 (Chapter 7) of Nature of Biology.

Don't know if it was explicitly part of the study design last year, but my teacher taught us the methods and reasons behind quarantine anyway. It's probably a useful thing to know in general detail in case a question along the lines of "List three modes of controlling the spread of a pathogen" comes up in any SAC or the exam.

The more you know and understand in Biology, the more everything else makes sense :) except for plant diversity

^ That's what I was thinking (I've adopted the same approach to Biology as you, especially since I didn't do Units 1 & 2). I might as well make some summary notes then. Thanks. :)
