Dropping a pen is far from embarrassing :P

The echo goes on for far too long, but I guess it's not as bad as a godzilla like sneeze.

I'm not certain on what you mean by rough idea, but to get an idea of the types of information presented to you in the 2 page spread, have a look at recent past GAT's. :)

Don't have any examples of responses.

However, for your question: No, you do not need to write a Statement of Intention (Written Explanation) for Writing Task 2. Just get straight into it.

For anyone that is unsure of the criteria on how they are going to be marked for the Writing Tasks, please look at my Post on Page 3 of this Thread. Gives comments on each of the Ranks (High, Mid-Range, and Low Responses). It mainly covers Writing Task 1 comments though.

Happy to answer any other questions.

All ready for the GAT now lol, just a little confused about part 1. I've tried to write an essay, I just always find myself retelling the information.
Are we allowed to use minimal general knowledge, for example:
'Mt Everest, the worlds largest and greatest mountain'
'Only few were able to climb it'

We actually did it at 11am, too, and the guys I tutor are organising for it to happen again (on my encouragement). My guys are also organising for 11am. I call foul-play. Filthy Nossal.

It felt like the right time to make an account. With the GAT tomorrow and all. I felt like such a creep reading the forum post without actually participating... It felt like I was spying on a secret society. Hahahaha

Good luck, and remember... when in doubt, choose "c".
Or not...
Just look for dat pattern ;)

Hi. I love your avatar.

Also, don't choose "c", choose "A, C, D, C" (2011 GAT - earned me one of the worst in the  state \o/)

These are rules applying specifically to posting. They'll probably be placed at the top of each subforum. For now, suggestions and comments are welcome.

Language
  • No excessive swearing or flaming. The occasional obscenity will be permissible, but avoid anything to excess, especially when it's a flame and directed to cause angst. Such posts will be removed to the Public Recycle Bin in Archived Discussion.

Brenden was nor excessive or wanting to flame anyone/people.
