Finished.
I wrote a long essay for the first section and a letter from an elderly staff member to his boss who is forcing elderly staff to retire. Thoughts?

I didn't find the maths parts hard but those arts and social science questions were difficult.

Section 1 was about media, radios, internet.
Section 2 had four statements "with age come experience, understanding and insight", "there is no fool like an old fool", "older people ought to retire and let younger people with ideas and energy into the workforce" and "the young have as much to teach the old as the old have to teach the young"

For the second part, I wrote about a conversation between an old man and his grandson, highlighting the cynicism of the old age.

But for me, the GAT wasn't at all "general" hahaha.

The problem is that mine was only around 350 words long, maybe a bit more. Is this enough? Felt adventurous so wrote my first ever letter, lol.

I just did about 2 pages for the first writing piece, then about 1.5 for the persuasive piece, I just kept running out of ideas..

Anyway the MC was okay, I had to refer to my dictionary a fair bit though, a lot of fancy words were used, :o

Out of curiosity, what were the topics?
First section about radio technology and its applications.

The second was on aging.

Was there a humanities question that everyone is bitching about? I swear to god, last year there were a bunch of people trying to tell me that some picture with a paedphile's shadow in it was serene.

I successfully implemented the sentence "waiting for a mate" into my persuasive piece! Although it was actually relevant to my message!

Lol, I used AFL stars Kane Mitchell and Kane Cornes as the sender and receiver, plus my factory that was forcing elderly people to retire was called the 'Nic Nat' factory. :) (for my letter)

And the humanities questions were terrible. There was poetry. There were quotes. There were these pictures. Terrible, terrible and terrible.

Why were there no technology questions? :/
