Haha! Well done for all of you for finishing the GAT!:)
I can't believe people left early ....i finished with only 10 minutes to check.
The topics for the writing were pretty good. I had heaps of fun writing a creative for the second topic. :)
The multiple choice was okay. I got stuck on the height question, like the shoulder height ,etc. , the maths was alright compared to last year and the humanities component was okay too.

AND OMG THE LAST 5-6 QUESTIONS ...doing those questions was the best part! :)

I believe so. That's what I picked.
Three things irked me:
1. wtf at the shape selection process thingo (i completely forgot what it's called) wasted all this time trying to understand the logic of the two flowcharts. If it has 'curves' then go get a hexagon, etc. I was like pulling my hair out at it.
2. What was with that story about "Mother City" Q: Why did they leave "mother city" for the suburbs?
1) took me a while to understand the shape selection also, I instantly thought it would also start at the bottom then move up, but it worked it's way around the flowchart..
2) had no idea why they left the suburb, that whole passage was really hard to understand in my opinion.

glib insincerity?
Yeash that's what I thought.

I feel like I spoke about old people a little too much like they are disposable objects haha.
One sentence was something like "elders are only of use if we can extract knowledge and practical application that is relevant in the modern world."
I actually wrote mine in agreement with the first point, that with age comes experience and insight etc. Hopefully it worked out, I don't think my persuasive piece was nearly as strong as my informative piece.

I ended up finishing with 20 minutes left.. I did a quick read of my writing pieces but I was only able to quickly run over the first 50 questions.. agrghrhgrgh no checking of the last few, and I was surprised at how many answers I ended up changing for the Quotes and English ones..

The Mathematics component was actually quite easy :) Some intricate words were used in the answers; however, nothing that a dictionary cannot define lol. Overall, a good first GAT for me. I'm not sure whether its because I spent a bit longer on the written pieces than suggested, but I finished with only about 5 minutes to spare. Luckily I completed the paper!

I felt that I guessed about 15 questions, 50-50 with majority of those 50. And I feel as though my first piece was more coherently structured than my persuasive pieece. I reckon its because I awoke to the realisation that I had spent longer than suggested on the first written response.

LOL, it was one of those things where I was confident with my answers, but any bet I did majority of it wrong. I finished multiple choice first and had around 1 hour 15 minutes for writing. I ended up going over multiple choice again quickly, then wrote both pieces easily. Once again, probably bombed it haha

Our chief supervisor was quite young. Probably late 20s. There were two older assitant supervisors whom accompanied her as well.

That was surprisingly enjoyable :)

I spent like five minutes trying to remember what the GAT line is this year and just managed to fit it in haha

2) had no idea why they left the suburb, that whole passage was really hard to understand in my opinion.
The only hint I came across in that piece was that Mother City had crowded streets or something so my answer ended up being unsustainable or something like that. Too much interpretation needed imo.

I had like a first timer supervisor, she like forgot to cross of the time like 3 times and she accidently said you may begin your reading instead of writing after reading time.
