Our supervisor was awkward. She would read the instructions and then just seem like she did nothing to get our attention. How are the marks for the GAT given?

Probably my final post here but there were some questions that just irritated me;
1) The flowchart with the shapes. So frustrating and confusing.
2) The one with the triangles confused me a bit. I wasn't sure about the last two questions, I probably just wasn't thinking lol.
3) Poems were hard to understand. I'm anti-poetic, It's like Julia Gillard being forced to marry Tony Abott, that's how I feel reading a poem.

Here's what I really liked:
1) Writing section 1 was really good.
2) Writing section 2 was GREAT. Felt like there were so many options to write about.
3) Most of the maths parts were easy and challenging

GAT = Good UMAT practice in my opinion :P

That is exactly what I was thinking during the GAT today. Especially those patterns-style questions. Plus the GAT is MC so its good UMAT practice.

My school only had young people supervising, I would say about 20-30 years old.

I've looked back over my answers and noticed some mistakes :(
Does anyone know when the answers be published?

The only hint I came across in that piece was that Mother City had crowded streets or something so my answer ended up being unsustainable or something like that. Too much interpretation needed imo.
There was:
a) too serious, suburb had rustic charm
b) predicatble, stimulation from suburb
c) unsustainable, the suburb offer an alternative
d) too materialistic, sought spirituality

it said "packed streets that drove us to this suburb" so I assumed it was overcrowded or somethun.. ahhh those were the sorts of questions that annoyed me.

http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/8561_10151645093547439_1557474109_n.jpg hated this question with a passion
I think I got that wrong from the replies of others..

I ended up taking the GAT from the table next to mine on the way out also, haha because mine was too messy with working to look at, if i ever want to go through the questions again for some odd reason.

i thought it was sarcastic in a way but I didn't really Analyse it I couldn't be bothered.  I made random game of thrones and arrow references in my essay.

referenced game of thrones as well in mine.. in the same sentence as Jersey Shore which was a bit weird...

did anyone do the waiting for a mate thing?

You'll get your GAT results with your Study Scores at the end of the year.

For each of the three sections, you'll get your mark (I think English is out of 20, the other sections being out of 35), and then a scaled score. So just like study scores, this scaled "GAT" score can go to 50, and your score is based on the performance of everyone else.

So do you receive an overall GAT score out of 50?

If you DO SERIOUSLY SHIT on your GAT, but ace the Exams + SACS, will VCAA think you cheated or something o.o?
So as long as I do fine on my exam + Sacs, my S.S will be fine regardless of GAT score?

How is GAT involved in scaling then?

So if you do terrible on your gat.. your S.S will scale down?

I know that GAT is sometimes used in uni selection.. since I'm in yr 11... this year's results won't even matter right?

LOL Because I think I was too chill in the GAT and I need some piece of mind.. :D

you'll get a 'study score' out of 50 for each of the 3 sections. one for written communication, one of maths/science/technology, and one for humanities/arts
2015-2017: Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) at University of Melbourne.
