I've been told that they can change by 1 mark, if at all.

ahaha it wasn't actually me going "oh i'm gonna take this subject because it sounds easy" though
i actually *do* love to draw;;; that three hour workshop every week was pretty much just a block where i got to relax/do something i enjoyed. :) which makes getting a respectable mark even nicer, because i would have taken it regardless of what i thought i'd score.

I really enjoy drawing too!! Too bad that subject isn't offered in sem 2 :( and jap 1 isnt either :( ughhh so annoying how not all subjects are offered during both semesters. Is Nature Morte: 21st Century Perspective similar?

It's not that weird like they would have just pressed 8 instead of 9 when they were entering it in!
Yay well done stonecold ;)

Thanks :)

I didn't even complain or anything!
The lecturer screwed up everyones' marks!
He sent an email out in the afternoon grovelling for forgiveness...
I think he forgot to include the tutorial marks somehow.

But yeah, apparently we are all getting an official apology from the arts faculty soon.
This should be fun haha!

well the subject matter will be different of course, but i doubt the content itself will be too different. i was planning on taking that one in sem2 2014. no breadth next semester. :C
theres an animation breadth which is meant to be pretty fun also.

BIOM30002 - Biomedicine: Molecule to Malady
Passed
2013, Semester 1, Parkville, On Campus, Semester 1
Mark: 96 Grade: First Class Honours (H1)

Oh my fuck howwwww???

I'm gonna take this subject so can I absorb all of your wisdom? Write a review if you haven't already!

And I got 66 in Chemistry (already ranted about it) and 77 in Russian and Physiology.

MAST10005 - Calculus 1
Passed
2013, Semester 1, Parkville, On Campus, Semester 1
Mark: 65 Grade: Third Class Honours (H3)

PHYC10005 - Physics 1: Fundamentals
Passed
2013, Semester 1, Parkville, On Campus, Semester 1
Mark: 77 Grade: Second Class Hons A (H2A)

Wow ok then, I did better in Physics than Calculus... That 80% exam is bs, it really killed me.

80% exam killed my calc 1 and chem200018

I'm confused, how are you taking this when it's only open to Biomedicine students?

I didn't realise - I got confused between that subject and another.

Does it really matter if you score higher or lower in the percentage barrack?. So for example if you get 90 or 95 and or 82 or 89. Or is more important just to get a HD or H1 regardless if 80 or 90%?

It can never hurt to get a higher H1 C:
I think for most people it's more of a personal achievement thing, but there are awards and research assistance offers and other placings and etc. that are very competitive and so getting better H1 grades is certainly useful for those.
If all your classes are 80 and all your classes are 100, though, and you're aiming for postgrad med/law, your GPA remains the same, to my understanding.
I'm probably wrong about all that, though, but I'm sure someone more experienced can answer your question :V

I know post-grad vet at Melb uses your number grade rather than H1 etc, as entry is based primarily on grades and not on an interview/other testing like med.

It matters for things like Honours scholarships etc. it just depends on what you want to do.
