What do/will you miss most about high school?

I think that one of the things that I'll probably miss the most is the intimacy and relationships I have formed with both my cohort and the teachers. I don't see this happening to quite the same extent at university.

How about you? :)

i agree. but something i will miss (don't know with many will agree) is that school makes your life organised. You study certain times, have lunch at certain and have to wake up certain times. i think with uni we'll have to be much more independent.

Actually relationships with professors can get very very personal and close, much more so than in highschool.

I really miss most things about my school, lots of nostalgia there. Mostly though I miss having small classes and seeing the same few people every day (though admittedly this was kinda frustrating during school).

Having been at the same school from junior kindergarten right through VCE, I have very fond memories and I'll always attribute a lot of my character to the life lessons I learnt there.

That said, Uni's epic.

Yea, can't agree with that :P I discovered that I study best late at night, and school hours would not allow that.

;)

Personally, I think I've gotten to know ex-classmates much much better during uni than at school. People I'd never spoken to before at school, I'm suddenly quite close with.

Schoolyard antics, and of course, my cohort. There was a pretty big sense of camaraderie and mateship throughout my whole year level.

Atm I'm feeling like 'eugh, I just want school to be over..'
But really, I'm gonna miss it SO much
What will I miss the most??
- The amazing friendships I made, especially this year and last year, when a lot of our cohort just got closer and more friendships with people I'd never expect were made
- The teachers. There were/are quite a heap of teachers who I became pretty close to, and I'll definitely miss them!
- The fact that everything was routine, that whatever you do, there's always teachers there to set reminders and all, and from what I've read and heard, uni isn't much like that
- The uniform! I know, weird. I actually hate the uniform, but I like how it made all of us equal, you know? And then come free dress day, there'd always be those few who stood out because of their daggy clothes or because they still wore uniform.. When we all wear uniform, nobody's left out :D

Oh let's face it.. I'm definitely looking forward to uni and the more independent lifestyle, but at the same time I'm gonna miss everything, even the crappy lockers :(

I miss having time to actually stop and rest for a day during learning weeks. Uni is so full on compared to high school, once the semester starts I don't really stop and rest until exams are done. I also miss the countless hours of sleep that I got that I don't get during the uni semester :P

Other than that, maybe that you all had breaks at the same time, you had time to talk to everyone, where as now in uni, some friends you may not see for the whole semester if you don't have breaks at the right times.

I guess I also miss being able to slack off at some points (kinda goes back to the first point) and still be ahead of the class, it just gave more of a 'safety net', in high school I didn't have to do much to not fall behind, where as in uni you're constantly fighting to keep up, not to drop back.

Also having the time to go around and helping others in the class, I spent a lot of my time in year 12 helping others rather than sitting down and doing my work. There's just not as much time for that anymore (I still help if asked), but it's more fighting to keep yourself on track as well.

One last thing, going back to earlier years, I kinda miss P.E. Having that hour just to go run around and exercise properly with everyone just seemed relaxing, you didn't have to achieve anything exactly.

Yeah, teachers, community, regular routine etc, etc.

But I'm so ready to move on.
