Confused about SAC's.

hi guys, so these are my stats:

Biology = 100/100 (unit 3 SAC's) Rank = 1
Further = 100/100 (unit 3 SAC's) Rank = 1
Chemistry = 113/119 (unit 3 SAC's) Rank = 1
Physics = 59/62 (unit 3 SAC's) Rank = 1

These are RAW sac scores, i dont know what im on after the moderation stuff.

Is it still hypothetically possible for me to get a 50 in all these due to my rank or will my individual SAC scores matter, presuming i maintain my sac scores and rank throughout the year?
Also i have finished all my coursework for all these subjects and will be starting exam prep in the next week or so. So basically im hoping to absolutely ace the exams.

Yes you can. I know someone who was rank 6 in their Further MAthematics Cohort in 2011 who aced the exam and got 50 RAW.

Just work hard and don't get too caught up in all the rankings/competition.

They don't care about your raw score, else every school would just make their SACs super easy and everyone would full mark the SAC component.

They look at your whole cohort for example if everybody did good in their sacs and come exam time if all of you go shit marks they would scale your sac score to reflect your exam score. If your in a strong cohort like melbourne high you can be ranked 20 and still pull off a study score of 40 because everybody ranked higher then you would destroy the exams. However if you have a weak cohort once you lose rank 1 its pretty hard.

sorry for dragging it, however:
so if i stay rank 1, it wouldn't matter how the cohort goes or what sac scores i get?

If you are rank 1 for everything than no one else affects your grades, it's all up to you.

The person ranked highest in the class according to sacs will take the high exam result for their class as their sac mark. And so on.

Example:
A is ranked #1 for sacs, B is ranked #2 and C is ranked #3.

In the exam B gets 93%, A gets 89% and C gets 70%.

A will end up with a sac mark of 93%, equivalent to the highest exam mark due to their #1 ranking. However they will retain their own exam mark of 89%. And so on. Dont get worried about something you cant control just try your hardest they way your going wouldn't be suprised if you get a atar over 99. ;)
