Poll

How did the UMAT 2013 go in general? (modesty aside)

Pretty good, I'm pleased with my performance
Alright I guess
Not really sure, could have gone either way
Not too well, not happy with how I went
To be frank, a complete disaster
I didn't sit the UMAT 2013 today but like to respond to polls anyway

Hope it all went well! :)

Just to concentrate all thoughts and feelings into one thread.

Questions for thought:

Was it what you expected?

How do you think you went (modesty aside)?

Was it different to whatever prep you did? How?

How did it compare to the ACER papers? Same format?

How did you find the venue and the seas of Asians and Indians/Lankans?

Before the test were you nervous/excited/etc? How did you overcome this?

Post test, feeling relieved/anxious/etc?

Did anything funny happen during the test worth sharing?

I'm not sure about current ACER policy, but it's probably best to NOT discuss specific questions from the exam (especially as Afternoon Session kids might still be out and about).

No, I was expecting to get completely destroyed in those three hours. I guess it was easier than I thought, but it's hard to know with these sorts of things.

How do you think you went (modesty aside)?

Better than I thought. It still won't be anywhere near cutoffs, but I'm hoping that I might be somewhere in the middle in terms of percentiles.

Quote
Was it different to whatever prep you did? How?

The little preparation that I did was useful because I at least had some ideas on how to tackle a question. I guess I feel a bit guilty as that probably means that I could have done fantastic if I had actually done more than two practice papers in February.

Quote
How did it compare to the ACER papers? Same format?

I didn't do them. -.- LOL

Quote
How did you find the venue and the seas of Asians and Indians/Lankans?

As I live close to the venue, I was very familiar with its layout. Although, they should have put up signs so people knew which queue to join. The 'sea' of Asians and Indians/Lankans was of no significance to me.

Before the test were you nervous/excited/etc? How did you overcome this?

I just felt calm because I knew that this result doesn't really matter for me. If anything, I was probably a bit amused simply because I had done nothing for it and was expecting the absolute worst.

Quote
Post test, feeling relieved/anxious/etc?

I feel normal I guess. Perhaps a bit happy given that I exceeded my own expectations.

Quote
Did anything funny happen during the test worth sharing?

Yeah, a kid from my school who I was lining up with held up the whole ground floor from starting the test for an hour or so because he didn't bring the right ID. XD

I didn't get to answer three of them (just coloured in C), but I had to guess along the way as well. I don't think it's too much of an issue.

Im sure he has learnt his lesson.....the hard way, hope he still did alright. I dont get why they couldnt have let those people sit the test and confirm their id after as opposed to holding everyone up oh well.Just out of interest how many people to you think there were on the ground floor?

Ahhhhhh the relief! It was better than I thought it would be. I had done practice with medentry and the acer stuff and I found that most of the exam was easier than the practices however there were a few questions that I had never come across before so I made educated guesses probably around 10-15. Meh. What's done is done  :)

I have more than a few concerns about my S3 performance, but I don't think I did too horibbly.
Did I imagine it, or was there actually a question about an obese chick hiding a sandwich?

I can pass on your discontent to the guy that held us all up, if you'd like. :P
The guy who had to print his admission ticket off from Monash and the operator wouldn't let him?

Section 1= crap ! Guessed about 5-8 questions! Spent too much time working the golden thing and the jumping squares question!
Section 2= It was easier than I expected it to be ! Spent too much time on it!
Section 3= easier than medentry , and were really quick to do !

Man , there were so many Asians and curries! :P
Not expecting a great score, we'll see what happens!

Wow...

That whole exam was like a complete buzz of semi-indecisiveness, semi-going-through-the-motions. So unsure how I went though! Like.. at this point, any score is possible! I guessed like 15 like... wow everyone finished. I was really kind of crap with timing.

Anyone know when the results get released?
