I've a feeling it's done by a left-wing group.

Julian Burnside is the kind of lawyer I hope to be one day
Saw this and thought of your comments about him. Presumably you've seen it, but for others' benefit too of course!

Yay single-issue voting by a rich man without any worries

12,500 people fired by a Coalition government? Who cares.

To those who are voting Greens: "What would your mother have thought of you back in the day if she was aware of your choice?"

I'm curious.

Not sure if srs or satire

the man is batshit insane

to his credit he's got some really interesting and original ideas, but which unfortunately won't work in reality

PS I swear I don't spend all my time researching his policies, I mentioned once that I enjoyed his ranting and now my boss keeps sending me news articles about him :P

As an economically right wing person the choice is still unclear. Intuitively, I would vote Palmer but then again, we're essentially just funding a man who has already filled his pockets with money.

I would still say Clive Palmer is far less insane than Christine Milne. She is setting us up to welcome, accept and house refugees to an extent where we eventually have to give them the "cold shoulder" and try send them back to where they came from. Assuredly, anyone in their right mind will know that this is not plausible.

I also detest how she links climate change as a threat to global security. Frankly, it is falsely philosophical to establish a link between both. Imagine a future where children perceive same-sex marriage as righteous. This would even lead to conflict within religions.

Palmer, on the other hand, is talking some sense by basing company tax payments based on quarterly results not annual assumptions as the Labor is doing at present. This is reasonable in order to ensure that companies aren't paying more than they have to at times throughout the year. Company satisfaction is paramount for reasons of employment and to reduce workers striking. Abbot's plan on tightening the laws to prevent workers from striking are effectively the same as preventing workers from striking entirely. Do not support him on this as that is simply limiting the freedom that workers have.

What... why would we have to send them back to where they came from? This is a massive jump in logic and I can't follow it.

1) what does "falsely philosophical" mean
2) what the hell does same sex marriage have to do with climate change

Uhhh... no they're not...? I don't know where you're getting your information from, but find a better source

1) "Falsely philosophical" is a term I made out of the blue while the teacher was rambling about things I already knew in Science class.
2) I should have included same-sex marriage on a different sentence to avoid confusion. If you are wondering about the link between climate change and global security, ASK THE GREENS!!!

3) I got that information from a letter from Clive Palmer promoting his party. LOL! Indeed, I do need to find a better source.

Although I do find that newspapers (The Age in particular) have their articles more opinionated in the main sections. Thus, preventing us from making a legitimate decision about voting for certain parties. It's only lately that I've noticed this though. Am I the only one?

Thanks for pointing out my errors ninwa. That's one of the reasons why I love ATARnotes :D

Yes, media is biased.  Pretty much all media at the moment will be biased either left or right, but you'll see more people making a fuss about right biased news because it is much more overt.
