If UoM Physics for Biomed is similar to Monash's Medical Biophysics, then I completely understand your situation

I found it useful to make summary notes of all the theory from the lecture slides. It's tedious, but I found that it did reinforce the material that I *sort of* understood during the lectures (having had no previous experience with physics before uni).
Another thing to do - which Monash provided us with - is Pearson's online physics teaching system called MasteringPhysics or something along those lines. It gives practice questions with detailed video and animation tutorials, which I found helpful with some of the concepts that made no sense to me in lectures. Not sure if UoM can get you access to this, but try it if you can.
Also, if you can, try to get a hold of Monash's custom textbook that we used for Med Biophysics: "Physics for Biosciences". It's just a compilation of some textbook chapters from different texts, like Giancoli's Physics it also has some physiology stuff such as cardiovascular systems and cell ion gradients etc. really good resource to get.
Good luck guys, I know how difficult it can be first-hand, but I'm sure you're all up to the challenge
