hey guys!!

plzz help me in FM..
i actually dont have much clue of FM course outline..
i need help plz some1 tell me how FM works..
all i know is tht you hav2 do a Core analysis ( which again i dont know much about )
and then you have to chose 3 modules..?
what type ov Q's wil i be getting in SACs?
eg like multiple choices or like short answer Qs..?
i dont understand..! plzzzzzz any help would be greatttt!!!

Ok firstly calm down and welcome to fsn lol ... =)
Further maths consists of the CORE(bivariate data, univariate data and time series) and about 6 or so modules, however you will only cover 3 of them (business maths, number patterns, geometry and trignometry, graphs and relations, matrices and networks).
SACs will vary from school to school but normally there will be some multiple choice questions and some short answer/analysis questions, in order to get you used to the layout of the end of year exams (exam 1-Multiple Choice, exam 2- Short answer)
SACs are worth 34% of your score while the exams are worth 66% (33% exam 1, 33% exam 2)

Firstly you have to do the core
The core is basic. in the cambridge book its 7 chapters. It can get abit boring however it is very important!- Nothing in the core is Hard, its almost theory- And if any problems arise, ask us guys. The SAC on the core- in most cases (depending on your school) is a long and draining analysis task. they normaly give you data in a table- and several questions. this sac can take upto 8 periods- so buckle up:D

The modules section:
In Fm you have to select 3 modules out of a possible 6. Normaly your school decides what modules you do- however if you dont like a module your school is doing, and dont feel comfortable- you can always learn a seperate one independantly for the exam

Core: Must do--Playing around with data
Modules: you must do 3 modules..

im studying FM a lil in these holidays.. im getting bits and peices.. but not everything.. as some Qs are abt log? which i didn do last yr.. so it was a lil confusing but i eventually got it.. umm is there anything tht i will really need to know abt FM besides the 3 moduels tht we need to do and a must core data analysis..?

Ahh yes, you should know your calculator back to front lol... The key to success in further maths is your calculator lol along with time management. If you have any questions about logs or anything just let us know =)
