Very strong spesh cohort

So I'm doing spesh next year, but apparently the class will be full of really smart asians...
I'll probably be near the bottom of the class then, but I'll still do well on the exam.

Will my SAC scores be boosted by these guys or dragged down because of ranking?

If you're not ranked so good, but you're in a good cohort, it's definitely much better than being ranked middle or last in a moderate or weak cohort. I'd say that if the cohort is strong, the people in your cohort are likely to do well, and so, your scores may actually be boosted. Just do your best - I wish I actually knew my competition for Spesh next year. Doing it through Distance Ed, I'm going to be going through the year in oblivion, with a mere grade of VH, H, M, L, VL throughout the year. Just do your best and it'll work out :)

Best of luck! I actually cannot wait for Specialist (: I always love a challenge haha!

You would rather a strong cohort in comparison to a weak one.

Your scores will definitely be boosted up. This is the purpose of SAC moderation.

If these "smart asians" are that much smarter than you and geniuses, then they will most probably score higher than you on the exam and SACs, therefore having no negative effect on you.. unless a few get sick for the exams.. although they then may be treated as outliers.

Of course, I don't contend that attitude BasicAcid. I'm just pointing out that if he really was to be in the "bottom of the class" then it won't really affect him.
