[Psychology] Ways of memorising content

I understand that applying the concepts in psychology is vital,
but I'm having a devil of a time actually remembering functions, and writing correct terminology in short answer questions. Just plowing through exams just isn't getting much into my head at the current moment.
'Buncha' questions to ask the Atarnotes community :D

1.What are your methods for remembering definitions/theories?

2.I understand reticular activating system isn't on the study design,
is there a place i can go to understand what was removed from the study design?

3. What is the function of the amygdala and basal ganglia?

Thanks.
