Is it too late to attempt creative pieces for context?

Hey guys,
I've been writing expository all year but I don't seem to improve.
Would it be risky to switch to creative writing despite being 9 days away from the English exam?
Can you guys also show me some creative essay pieces
thanks

Don't "switch"

Because you are in a precarious position right now,
I would suggest keeping your options open.

Remember/have a good idea of your expository pieces but I would say try writing creative pieces, perhaps coming up with one or two models in this scant amount of time. Who knows, something good might come out from that.

Try tweaking them to fit a couple of prompts and most importantly, get feedback from a teacher or even a friend who is proficient/strong in english to ensure you're on a right track.

Just a warning, it is very easy to go off topic when writing creative pieces. Unlike expository, you can't just say "Our reality is affected by..." or whatever.

Good luck :)
