If you're ranked 1st, you do really well on the exams, and your cohort is shit, you have nothing to be worried about! :)

Depends on the strength of the cohort.
For maths, I'm fine, but for business I could be fucked.

Hmm depends on your ranking and cohort strength, so if you let us know more about that we could give you more accurate responses.
But from my personal experience as long as you've been performing consistently well and are sitting in the rank apriapriate to your abilities it's generally pretty accurate :) and they don't scale you down a heap if you've done well but the rest of the cohort didnt! For example, I think my further and drama score were the only ones over 30 in both cohorts, but I still got full marks for my furthers sacs and an A+ for my drama sacs (which actually scaled up!)

Basically I'm ranked 1 or 2 in all my subjects in a very weak cohort. In every SAC theres consistent results: 2 or 3 or 4 students (including me) will get a high mark (A or A+) with  the rest of the cohort getting much lower, normally D's or C's, some even lower.

Yeah, as BasicAcid has said, you'll most likely be fine! I was terrified the VCAA wold deem my SAC scores as an outlier and scale it down but that didn't happen. Just make sure you smash out those exams :D
