Hi all.

I have had my learners scratched lost my learners, and as my licence test is coming up soon I was wondering if you guys know if it is possible to just bring a passport/birth certificate or something instead of my learners.

Cheers.

no
It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

My first thought that OP physically lost their learner permit card as surely no one would be silly enough to think that if they had their Ls withheld formally they would still be able to get Ps?

How can you drive without your Learners?????? Like even to practice? And usual protocol is to get a hole put into your Learners License to invalidate it anyway, so you'd need it

And why is 'OP' posting from 2 accounts?

Although they would accept the identification if it adds up to the required amount of points (which I'm sure a passport + a medicare card would suffice), it says on the back of your learner permit "carry licence when driving", so you'd have to confirm that they will let you drive without carrying your permit on you.

When is your driving test? It takes about 1-2 weeks for them to mail you a new card (I lost my learner permit when my wallet got stolen when I was 17, so I had to go through the same thing as you), so if your test is more than 2 weeks away then you can get a new permit in time for it.

You need your learners because its your 'license' you need it to sit the test so you have to get a new one.

Didn't they give you a piece of paper saying "yeah br0 you can drive" while you were waiting for your new permit?

how do you know that your wallet was stolen?

Because it was in my right pocket as I was at the Rise Against concert at Festival Hall in 2011, then I went crowdsurfing and as soon as I got to the ground again, I checked my pocket and it was no longer there. I asked at the lost property desk and it didn't get handed in. I asked at the police station and it wasn't there either.

It's annoying because my wallet had less than $5 in it. The bastard who stole it took away about 10 plastic cards from me which I had to replace and he got nothing out of it.

Didn't they give you a piece of paper saying "yeah br0 you can drive" while you were waiting for your new permit?

Hmmm actually I think they might have done this now that you mention it. I kind of forget. I never got pulled over by the cops throughout my entire learner period so I never needed it.
