I found it challenging. Was it important to know that they were being delivered to people?

What was the tone and target audience.

target audience was stated in the article i thought "to parents, families" i think it said at one point, and it directed at them by saying "our children" implying that such a change would be not just for the generation its directed at but the future generation.
tone was hard, i didnt give a clear checklist answer ;A;

Was the image WW2 propaganda? I dedicated one whole paragraph on how using it suggests that the author is dangerously dogmatic in their views, thus having an opposite effect -_-?

I only read it twice or something,  but I think it was? They mentioned something about the war around the time the image was presented - sounds like you might have got some good analysis out of it.

The target audience was essentially anyone in the local community, as they distributed the newsletter to every household in the area. Also, they spent a fair amount of time reiterating their opinion that gardening is for everyone and what not :)

I used 3 words to describe the tone: passionate, informative and I forget the third one. But I agree that it was difficult to articulate the tone and I was in a hurry so I just wrote down whatever came to mind first.

I thought the tone for most of it was passionate, then the bit about the food being wasted was a concerned tone.

The Facebook statuses after that exam were hilarious.

"So is everyone now an expert on vegetable gardens?"

"I have the sudden urge to start a community vegetable garden. who's with me?"

"The year 12 G.A.T and English exams this year have provided students with substantial knowledge on both Radios and Vegetable Gardens.
If they throw Building and Livestock Maintenance into the mix next year, we'll all be able to run our own small farm.
"V.C.E Taking students in the right direction.""

"Dear Mrs Abbott,
Make sure you follow the lead of the Queen and Michelle Obama.
Plant a vegetable garden at the lodge once the renovations are complete. VCAA advises you to.

I didn't even mention the rhetorical (?) question next to the bar graph.

*HI FIVE* :D

I mentioned it, and said that it provokes guilt and elaborated on this. :)

Would it have been a significantly bad move to state "In the opinion piece..." rather than "the newsletter..." in the introduction, provided tone, audience, contention, issue etc. was included?
