For those of you who didn't finish, didn't analyse something, didn't bring out your best evidence in text response or anything like that: don't stress. Honestly, I swear to God.
Here's my experience of the exam in 2012.
So I read the article a few times during reading time, get to writing time and I forgot to actually analyse the article, I just sort of read it mindlessly. So then I had to read the article again start to finish looking for the contention and all that stuff, so I started much later than I would have liked. Then I took an hour to write an intro an my first paragraph (honestly that was probably close to 600 words, my first para was massive), and then it took me until the 90 minute mark to put out another two paragraphs, without a conclusion, for a total of like 950 words. Then I did text response, no hassles really, moved onto context with like 30 minutes left and wrote a quick as fuck story that was also unfinished. I honestly would've used another 500 words on the story if I had the time.
I walked out thinking "Lol, catchya later, A+''
My friend (who scored a 50) walks out of the exam room and goes "man, I was so glad when you didn't turn around at the end of writing time."
"Why?"
"Because it means we both screwed up"
"How bad was yours?"
''I didn't conclude any of my essays".
And some other student overhears and tells her the max you can get without conclusions is an 8 (Lol). A few other people who scored really well in my year also didn't finish or whatever else. Honestly, the assessors will judge you less harshly than you judge yourselves; we're all our own worst critic.
I also wanted to let you know that it gets worse. Later tonight you'll probably be like ''oh, nah, it wasn't too bad", and then in the next few days you start to think ''oh man it was so much worse than I first thought'' (at least in my experience), but... like... just put it out of your mind. I know it's hard but don't worry about what you can't control. I'm not trying to be silly and tell you things that you can't do, I'm just spittin' truth like I had some veritaserum. You probably did better than you think you did, and whether or not you did or not is totally irrelevant now until December 16th, and then after that it's totally irrelevant until like January, and after that no one gives a single fuck.
Anyway, don't beat yourself up too much. Whatever mistakes you made, it's still very possible to have hit the criteria with whatever you wrote. Take a deep breath and go plant some vegetables or something.
