"We're all our own worst critic"

You legend

This.

Kicked out all the procrastination I've been holding in to study for Economics tonight. Feeling more relaxed now, as I screwed up a fair bit in the exam today. But as the legend himself says, 'we're all our own worst critic' :D

"VCE Confessions
"Damn, thank goodness Section C for was optional for this year's English exam...otherwise I would've never had time to put down two pages of writing each on Sections A and B"

Classic from VCE DiscussionSpace."

I'm actually quite sad for the individual in question, but I giggled anyways.
I feel bad.

Thanks so much for this reassurance. You honestly don't know how much this means for kids like me who came out of that exam in the lowest of spirits.

Yeah, my language analysis and my text response was good. But for some reason, I was so nervous and I couldn't really analyse my article properly. It's like I'd read over a sentence 2 or 3 times and it just wouldn't enter my head. I spent around 45 minutes on my context essay, and it was kinda all over the place. I really found the prompt difficult to discuss and explore, so the whole essay felt kinda clumsy. I know, it doesn't even matter. I think we all tried our best. I just hope the writing in context didn't really screw me over bad :)

Here's my experience of the exam in 2012.
So I read the article a few times during reading time, get to writing time and I forgot to actually analyse the article, I just sort of read it mindlessly. So then I had to read the article again start to finish looking for the contention and all that stuff, so I started much later than I would have liked. Then I took an hour to write an intro an my first paragraph (honestly that was probably close to 600 words, my first para was massive), and then it took me until the 90 minute mark to put out another two paragraphs, without a conclusion, for a total of like 950 words. Then I did text response, no hassles really, moved onto context with like 30 minutes left and wrote a quick as fuck story that was also unfinished. I honestly would've used another 500 words on the story if I had the time.
I walked out thinking "Lol, catchya later, A+''

You didn't mention what you ended up getting on that exam ;)

brencookie for the next 5 weeks after his english exam:
"Aw henry, I effed up man. I can't even run my own tute, I'm gonna get like a 37."
I won't say what he got, but his score/60 puts him among the top percentile in the state for 2k12.

;^)

still cryin over my exam tho

What if you kinda went off topic..? D: In the exam I thought i was actually answering the question properly but now when i look back at the text response topic... I don't think i answered the question properly and went off track and started talking about something else that wasn't mentioned in the question and didn't address every point in the question D: D: D: IM SO SCARED D:
