Kilbaha 2012 exam 2

Do this if you want a laugh. It's pretty ridiculous. There are some mammoth show that questions. I thought Kilbaha 2011 was pretty tough, but for some reason kilbaha think they ought to just increase the difficulty of their exams in a parabolic fashion.

Have a go haha :)

How did you guys find Exam 1 of MAV 2012, if anyone has done it? Just curious because its difficulty was kinda surprising for a MAV.

Did that one today, thank god I wasn't going crazy! I lost way over double the marks that I would have in an average VCAA exam and got super disheartened haha!
I couldn't focus much in that exam, but I do think it was more difficult than a vcaa exam!

Check this:

Pretty much direct quote from the kilbaha exam - they've used the quadratic formula. Who would've thought to do that?? (forgive me, first time using latex)

I don't think I'll do a kilbaha exam, it will only succeed in crushing any scrap of confidence I have in this subject :|

Omg. Surely not. No sane person could do this in 2 hours and get a decent mark.

Hahaha :P I think I'm proof that even people who cry over kilbahas can do well in VCE maths! VCE is just about being careful, really.

Although I didn't end up doing too badly. I took 3 marks off a 5 mark show that question that I looked in the answers for, but the rest wasn't too bad.

.. that is, if VCAA give me an extra half hour at the end so I can finish it. Hahah.

LOL yeah me. It took me 117 minutes, but I finished it with a 78/80

Would have been 80 if not for two very careless multiple choices -.-

In my defense, I forgot to keep my eye on the time; I checked the time at the start, after the MC section and at the end. I had no idea it took me 117 minutes until the end.

Of course you'd quadratic formula that. I mean, do you want to solve things with square root x in them? Of course not! yu=16u^2-32 where u^2=x
Oh wait, now it's so much clearer xP
