i got 0.9
dunno some people got 0.8 it depended on how you drew your line
hopefully vcaa markers mark that question on the line we drew

How'd you get 0.9 then? 0.8 was what I got.
I actually have no idea what I'm saying or talking about.

Also got 0.8 for the slope.
Wouldn't matter if fraction or number really. Although both may be incorrect, after hearing that square rooted then cubed wasn't the required method.

For the scale factor question, would my working out showing my ratio is 1.2 / 6:5 get at least one mark? I didn't cube root at the end.

Also.. got 0.87 for my three median line. Funnily enough, it came back to haunt me again in exam 2.

The last question of trigonometry was fairly easy some of my classmates said you take 125 degress from where the first javelin landed which I think is wrong as it said from the same point

I do believe it said, 70 (or around about there) was the distance travelled from the same point. However, I think it said that 125 degrees was taken from where the first javelin landed..

I think I got 65deg then used cosine rule. Can't remember exactly though...

I thought this until I looked at the diagram
The diagrams are not necessarily drawn to scale unless otherwise state - from the VCAA. It was not stated that the diagrams were drawn to scale. If this was vital to achieving the answer, wouldn't they label the diagram as being 'to scale'?
Definition of similar shape: figures which have exactly the same shape, but varying size.
Question explicity stated that the shapes were similar, therefore the thickness should also be varying.

I beleive you just had to make a triangle, subtract the values of degrees to find the internal degree of triangle. Then apply the cosine rule for the length

Even if I got the slope of the three median line incorrect, do I still get consequential marks for the following question

Got the matricies question wrong plus just realised my working for the discus question was right but I forgot to cube it.... So I guess 1 of 2 marks for that.

That's a total of 3 lost marks, is I lose 1 or maybe 2 ontop of that I'm happy.

Couple of things I'm unsure about -

Number patterns, last part of last question. How do you get the method mark? I drew up a table up until 2016 of Ln and In then the product of the two.

Matrices, the "when will the adult population die off" question. After 13 years, it was 0.7 which I assumed would be predicted to be 1. Therefore, I answered 14. What are the chances they'd accept this?
