iTute has Question 4 of Graphs and Relations (e) (ii)  as "x=4 and y=6, 60(4)+30(6)=$420", but how can this be if the material beforehand explicitly said for every powered site (x), there must be 2 unpowered sites (y)? I realised this (I had thought fortunately) during the exam this morning, so I wrote the minimum cost as $480 because the organisers would still have to pay for two extra unpowered sites, even if  not utilised, in order to uphold the constraint.

But now I'm doubting myself due to iTute's answer being different (which I perceived as a 'trick' question).

Pretty certain they got the last question wrong for graphs. Doesn't satisfy the constraint that y >/ 2x

Yay I'm not alone here!

yeah the last graphs and relations question is wrong. should be $480 as what they have written doesn't fit other constraints. such a sneaky question vcaa

But the situation HAS changed. I mean, you need to have 24 boys & 24 girls at each campsite. The original constraints are not based on this. So, when the situation has changed, the minimum price is $420.

Yeh and the last trig/geo question 9.7m?? bit weak from the javelin thrower if so, probably a typo and its 79.7
The question asked for the distance between where the two javelins landed

SAC: 85%
EXAM 1: 35/40
EXAM 2: 55-56/60

Ranked in top 10-17 (estimation) of an average cohort of 100 (approx).

I'm still of the opinion that the information in the question required you to find the minimum cost, given your knowledge of the previous material (as it ultimately was still part of the same question), meaning $480 was correct. Although if it turns out the examiner's look at the question in your way, then $420 is obviously right.

Even one of the teachers was keen to ensure their students didn't fall into the trap of answering $420, as it didn't uphold the constraint stated in the same question.

Who knows!

No, I got 9.7m.
Just re did the question from my calc, you get 9.7 if you interpreted it as if he throws the 2nd javelin from where the 1st one landed. You get 78. something (what i got) if you did it where he throws 2 javelins from the same spot. Cant remember the exact wording of the question so i don't know, but pretty sure in javelin they throw it from the one spot but i don't know i'm done with maths

Fingerscrossed

Hey!

If I have got:
SAC: 100% (Rank 1 in a Medium Cohort of ~40 People)
Exam 1: 39/40
Exam 2: 58-9/60

What study score can I expect?

Thanks :D
