I'm up to my 9th exam but would 10-12 be good enough?

I've done 14 now.

Yeah 10-12 should be fine? However, it mainly depends on how well you are doing in them. Can you see improvement each time? If so, then keep going.

I'm just doing as many as I can to practice writing quickly. My teacher told me my responses are fine, so I'm just working on timing. :)

I'd aim for around 20 exams. Busman is the sort of subject where more is better – you aren't going to disadvantage yourself by exposing yourself to more questions etc. Any less than 18-20 exams and you are living dangerously in my opinion.

Would any fellas here be able to help me out with a few exams? All I have are VCAA exams because my school is to cheap to supply us with external companies. If anyone could e-mail me ( [email protected] ) one or get me one some other way, I'd appreciate it more than you can imagine!

Don't forget guys - QUALITY over quantity! Don't just do them for the sake of having done x exams! There's nothing wrong with doing a whole heap of practice exams but make sure you actually get something out of them because otherwise you're just wasting away 2 hours that could've been used way more effectively! Of course, everyone's different so what may have worked for one person may not necessarily be of use to someone else... Good luck though :)

throughout the year i've done about 15-20. COMPAQ's my best friend, and it's always good seeing constructive criticism from your teacher after each exam/sac/test to aid you in understanding the topic(s) coherently.
This may be off topic although the best decision i've made was doing two 3/4 subjects in year 11, especially business haha (rank 1'd the class).
It's weird sometimes, if i get a 10 mark kotter question i'm able to tackle it easily but im still hesitant when it comes to providing advantages and disadvantages of LSO's to the economy.. haha
All i really need to fine tune right now is Performance Management and bits and pieces to do with legislation and such.
9 more days till the exam! :D

That is the same as me omg. The small things that appear so easy really get to you but then you can recite the kotters theory or selection process like the back of your hand, something you'd expect to be more difficult but is just so much easier.

My advantages for an LSO are economies of scale, balance of payment and providing employment =D. I remember 2 out of the 3, not sure about BoP.
My disadvantages are downsizing, damage to the environment and outsourcing. :DD

I've got one from some external company with all the topics that have been on it - not specific questions, but it just outlines what topics from each AOS have been on the last 3 exams, and says like 'selection process 2011' for example.

Hey jason34, i've got a collation of exams in a folder but haven't really sort out everything based on common questions and such.
Although, one question I enjoyed doing overall was one which asked:
"Define the term "corporate culture". Identify and explain three performance indicators that might suggest an organisation has a positive corporate culture. Identify the management style you believe would be most conductive to developing a positive corporate culture. Provide a detailed answer to support your suggested choice. 10 marks."

What i had written was :

Corporate culture comprises of the values, symbols, rituals, rites and celebrations, and heroes which are shared amongst members of an organisation. Performance indicators which suggest an organisation has a positive corporate culture mainly consist of those used in measuring satisfaction and as classified as non-monetary.
Staff turnover is a performance indicator used to measure the amount of staff which are leaving the workplace due to an array of reasons such as poor workplace conditions up to dissatisfaction with workplace practises. A high level of staff turnover indicates a large amount of staff are leaving due to the abovementioned reasons. This can be used by senior management to view how well the current culture is affective employee retention and satisfaction within their workplace.
Staff surveys are another P.I which aim primarily at gathering opinions, views and various ideas from staff to do with moreso an employee's views on how an organisation is operating, opinions on practises and any indicators which are affecting their performance positively or negatively. This can be utilised by senior management to tailor organisational practises to employee needs, in doing so, encouraging maximum motivation and satisfaction.
Customer surveys may also be used to gather views from those who are involved in purchasing the goods or services that an organisation has to offer. This measures how satisfied or dissatisfied curstomers are with the performance of the organisation and can determine if current corporate culture standing are working well in ensuring a strong customer base.
In saying that, the participative management style would work best in conducting a positive corporate culture in a workplace. This management style is a fairly decentralised approach which utilises the involvement and communication between both stakeholders; the employee and employer, to reach workplace agreements as well as complete any required tasks through constant support by management, or even in groups which promotes motivation through teamwork. This style allows for a build up of trust to occur through two-way communication as well as empowering employees through participation as they are undertaking a primary role role in meeting the objectives of the organisation through their work. These factors and attributes play a role in creating a positive corporate culture as the four primary factors of C.C can be upheld through this management style. Values are able to be expressed from senior management through the methods of communiction shown amonst employees, and valuing their honesty, etc. An example would be considering their needs and customising procedures to allow those employees to perform as best as possible. Heroes can be shown through constant evaluation of an employees work and comparing and contrasting with the performance of emloyees known for their high standards of performance. Rituates, rites and celebrations can be shown through the participative management style through the recognition of an employees work, and acknowledging them for their efforts through events such as employee awards and ceremonies, promoting motivation. Lastly, symbols can be utilised to represent something an organisation believes to be important such as encouraging employee development. this can be achieved through constant provision of support, feedback and acknowledgement involved in the participative management style, allowing employees to reach full potential. In turn, allowing for a positively upheld corporate culture to be attained.

Wow that was long, but i got 10 marks for it :D
