It definitely solidified how bad at maths I always thought I was. Freaking ridiculous, especially with the last question. Also I ran out of time :-\

Yep and k=8 for maximum.

I can't believe I didn't get those P'X' questions now... I thought it meant multiplied together but it was just a line segment...

Wow true example of exam pressure.

It was a badly worded question... I couldn't even figure out was it was asking tbh.

Ok so because i didn't know how to do the last page for the maximum question I just pit k=8 because of the information provided at the start of the question. there's no working though Haha it was just put in the last few minutes.. does that stilll get a mark?

in general i think u guys should remember that vce uses a bell curve with methods, so if most people did bad then generally they will lower all the thresholds to get certain grades, heck ive seen one time where you could have failed the exam 2 (below 50%) and still get a B. So do not stress too much peoples, and focus on other exams, everything will work itself out!

As you would have guessed based on exam 1, it was quite difficult.

Multiple choice were a bit harder, i found the questions a bit different to previous years, they didn't have as many straight forward easy mark questions. Different format i guess didn't seem like i was answering a vcaa paper.

Questions 1,2,3 were relatively straight forward for extended response, which was a surprise as the Tasmania Jones questions in recent years were quite difficult.

Question 4 was ridiculous, 16 marks it was worth i think, I would have struggled to get 1........
Guess that's the question that will separate everyones scores.
Only other parts I struggled with were last questions of both 1 and 3 in extended and a few of the multiple choice.

Anyway glad it's over, as well as the rest of my exams :)

Anyone have any idea about the cutoff marks?

Omg so much butt rape...

That transformation question was retarded, I sat there trying to multiply coordinates and try to get one number...
Then another 30mins dwelling on that last tangent and last 5 mins it clicked, and did (a) (b) but missed out on the rest...

And what a boring Tasmania question so disappointed!!

If people found both exams really difficult would there be a potential for higher scaling or not?

That MC was so ugh, I aced the 2011 and 2012 MC's with almost 20 or 21 out of 22. For this, I had to guess at least 6 just to keep on moving to finish the paper....  :( So many people from my school said it was good.. let's just say I felt the opposite  :-X

it all depends on how the performance of students in the methods cohort compared to other subjects. but more likely if it was a difficult exam they will reduce the cutoffs of the grades (e.g. make an A+ = 75% mark or above)
