Woo! (not that i've posted that much) Also, might I asked if you're still doing uni extension? I was wondering if since you can use specialist knowledge in methods whether the same applied for UMEP?

I actually dropped it due to two main reasons:

- It was really far from my school and I had to struggle to get there
- I just felt i wasn't ready for it, and the teacher didn't make it easier by repetitively saying that without methods 3/4 knowledge I will struggle immensely.

So, I decided to drop it, and focus more on my VCE subjects (so I can absolutely smash them!)

But, yes it does help with spesh, a lot, but it goes way too far!

The #truth. Good job on being so honest haha :)

I'm struggling even with 3/4 methods knowledge, the assignments are ridiculously difficult and I struggle to understand more than 50% even after the teacher went through the step-by-step solutions once in class.

But then again, I hear that the entire class got HDs (so 4.5/5.0 increments) last year and over 60% of the cohort get it in general, so I guess the end of year exams won't be that hard.

And yes, you can use Uni Maths knowledge but it's much better if you don't, because some assessors may not necessarily understand your method of coming to the solution.

Have you considered further if you want to get that extra 10%? You should have no problems with itand even you ignore it it would be at least an extra three or four to you aggregate :)

That's an unfair school policy

My school has the same policy, and to be honest it's perfectly reasonable as to why they have that if you think about it. :|

Our time table just doesn't have enough room to accommodate 6 subjects in Year 12

yeah but sometimes doing fewer subjects can be better since you can focus on them more :)

my school can accommodate 6 subjects into the timetable, but no one like does 6 at my school because they strongly recommend against it, for like stress reasons and such

Imagine having no frees  :o
frees rock! :D
idk how I survived year 10 and earlier without frees lol :o

If your combined score (after weightings) becomes higher than the other students in your class, then yes. Definately possible. Also, the first sac in all my subjects seems to be of a relatively low weighting compared to the other sacs, so suss that out, it might not be as important as you think.
