Just  a question .

I have heard of something called an AUDIT.

Like i hear people say VCAA might AUDIT us .

What does this actually mean?
Basically VCAA will assess whether or not your school is assessing everybody properly and fairly to ensure that accurate ranks and study scores will be determined by the end of the year as some schools may have super easy SACs which are unfair for everyone (which don't meet requirements) whilst some schools may test things outside the curriculum and have too hard SACs so this is just to ensure that everything is done properly I suppose. You can read more here :)

Just wondering how do you find out if your sacs have been audited?

Yeah cause I can't remember if we did or not, and am thinking of withdrawing consent, has anyone else not had to sign the form? And it's something we sign once a year right (instead of one for the whole vce)?

My school hasn't given us the form this year either. Odd. But I know that if your  planning to withdraw consent (that is , if your school doesn't give a form) you can ask you coordinator about. And if the case is that there is only one form and you still plan to withdraw u can ask the coordinator to cross of your signature. I did that last year. Initially I had given consent and after extensive reflection (thank god) I decided to withdraw consent and she simply crossed of my name (well after 10 mins of interrogating me regarding the reason)

It's more of an internal thing (that is teachers know but students don't) so there's no need to disclose if your SACs have been audited or not (that is which specific SAC is audited).

LOLOL same goes for here too (well 2013/2014 anyway with University Maths like Cross Product on our SACs for Specialist :P )

Hmm our school provides us with a "generic" form of all of our personal details including a quick summary of our VCE details too (to check if anything has changed over the holidays) so we could change it there or not, otherwise towards August/September-ish you would get the form due to VTAC and all.
I remember I declined to give my scores out last year and there wasn't any interrogation but I've heard from my friends school that everyone who scored above 40 but declined to give their scores out were interrogated for "bringing down the school" etc. :S

Same boat as appleandbee in that parents and whatnot have a distorted way of how VCE works and all (I don't think my parents know the subjects I'm taking tbh LOL) but yeah if people ask then I'll probably be inclined to tell them but I'd rather not be judged by a "number" if that sort of makes :P

Not to mention there's no harm in not allowing publication of your scores online too like scholarships and Premier's Awards will still come to you regardless so no big deal imo.

Hahah yeah fair enough

Although my parents feel that if you publish it you'll have some sort of external pressure. It's kind of working, found myself studying harder to avoid the public humiliation if i end up with like a 40 for methods this year HAHA

(for the guys that are about to jump in with '40' is good for methods, i got higher last year and i'm repeating, hence the joke) :)

Sort of.

Spoiler
No, it's not. 95/100 SACs and full marks on both exams for methods does not get you 46-47 or (46.4, it gets you 49 or 50. Can't say for others but in that respect it's not so accurate.

Man you got some pretty high expectations.. xD

What are you aiming for it this year? And have you started practice exams (Well, you sorta finished the course last year and got a 40+, so obviously...).

50 or bust ;)

Loljokes i'll happily take a 49, but anything lower will be pretty disappointing.

Did 60 last year and done 20 this year. So i've pretty much done every single one out there, minus a few dodgy companies like Itute and ofc haven't done the 2015 exams that'll be coming out later this year :)

Only 50? Man we were expecting a bit more from you... -.-

Ay if you do not mind sharing, what were you averaging in the practice exams you did last year? Have you improved this year? And Im assuming you 100% all your sacs right, and what were your sac scores like last year? (Apologies for the interview, but I'm looking for something around ~40, and the highest my school has ever gotten is a 42..).
