I kinda liked the site being down because it gave me an excuse not to study for the that absolute devil of a test

Section 3 shits me to no end, how does ordering patterns test if i will be an empathetic and devoted doctor?

Ah ok, there's been a few of them so I kinda lose track if you know what I mean
True, there are a lot of ... interesting posts there. I am claiming all royalties on VCAA Gold posts for inventing* it, however. Soon enough I'll be a millionaire of this scheme.

Wait, but if you do UMAT won't you have to skip the first session? Like it's not like you have a choice, so they're being a bit unreasonable imo... why do people skip anyway? SAC storytelling around the playground??
Oh no like UMAT is on Wednesday but the first session of our SAC is on the Tuesday (Part Two and Three are the week after). In some instances (not at my school but at others I've heard of and stories teachers tell us) but essentially what you've said may happen (school has a few procedures in place in case people don't rock up on the day of the SAC even if they have a doctor's certificate) as well as extra time since Specialist is the only SAC running that week too.

Unfortunately I have my Spesh Analysis SAC starting tomorrow :( . I've practically dedicated most of my study time recently for it but I'm still hella nervous and not confident at all. I just don't want to do terrible and lose all my motivation for the rest of the year.

Also, good luck to all you UMAT guys. Hope you all do well. Are most of you taking the UMAT mainly for Monash or do you have other unis in mind as well?

Mbbs at monash, although realistically I am looking towards at Biomed at melbourne. You're not considering biomed at all?

I have considered it, and it will definitely be on my preferences (probs 3rd) but if I don't make it into medicine I will be just as happy to do teaching
Do you know how much harder it is to transfer to medicine from biomed compared to science? (both at Melbourne) if it's not much harder from science I would rather do that and keep my options open a little more

want to be a teacher

Could not recommend teaching more. Good on you! :)

Personally i'm conflicted because what I want to study (investment banking) has a better income outlook, but really, quote famous chinese teacher:

'Everyone wants great teachers, but how can there exist good teachers if students don't learn it?'

After experiencing 4 years of a variety of teachers at a private school, i'd confidently say that the best teachers can influence your study score +- 5 towards the high end. It's that big.

All the best man, hope to see you at a prestigious private school/top public school soon (or maybe you might be the kind who'd rather significantly influence the schools where not everyone has such privileges).

45+ raw score guaranteed (or 100% refund) for 2022 Methods & Specialist (other subjects also available - classes for all) register now!

Also hiring excellent Methods, Chemistry, Physics, Biology + Specialist tutors with a passion for excellence - PM me!

We also now support Chemistry, Physics and Biology!

If you do Biomed at Monash then you have 3 opportunities in terms of getting into graduate med in VIC as Monash graduate only accepts their own biomed students

just a tip
