Basically, I was tossing up between Eng/Commerce vs. dent and I chose to do dent.
I was pretty set on that, but a tour around Monash Clayton and hearing the people talk was so good. Too good.
I wouldn't choose my course (and essentially my future) based on what the uni is like haha. Dig deep and see which you'd have more passion for, as Eng/Comm and Dent are completely different.
And let's be honest, the Monash campus looks pretty shit, don't let it sway you towards Monash LOL
If it helps you in terms of what course to choose, just remember to consider travel time, scholarships and opportunities in the future (both work-related and ability to transfer university courses [if you're stuck between two fields] if necessary).
While those may be important*, I think "passion" is far more important. The worst thing someone can do is choose a course they're a little less passionate about because of saving an hour on transport or something, you might seriously come to regret it later.
*(I disagree that "scholarships" is a big deal, all 'small change' compared to the future unless you're significantly financially troubled)
Something happened with the train lines today though apparently. We had to take the replacement buses home which was annoying.
Oh so that's what happened. I was at Oakleigh Station today and idk why there were like so many people.
Yeah, someone died on the tracks.
