Already on campus xD

I didn't go today (or yesterday) but I got other people to grab me some brochures that were faculty specific as well as the scholarships brochure for Monash! Did you go dankfrank420? :)

Yeah, I went today with a couple friends. It was pretty good. Got a lot of brochures. Watched a stand up comedy act as well, which was hilarious. Most of the time i was just at the School of Physics building playing around with all the experiments they had set up. Something happened with the train lines today though apparently. We had to take the replacement buses home which was annoying.

2016 - 2019: Bachelor of Science Advanced - Research (Honours) [Physics and Mathematics] @ Monash University

Yeah I went, it was great. But it gave me heaps of trouble.

Basically, I was tossing up between Eng/Commerce vs. dent and I chose to do dent.

I was pretty set on that, but a tour around Monash Clayton and hearing the people talk was so good. Too good.

Now I don't know what to do. Preferences are in a month so yeah big decisions to make.

Haha hopefully the renovations around Monash didn't deter you LOL but it'll only get better as renovations for some buildings finish in a few years time! But Engineering/Commerce is a great course (Engineering skills would suit very nicely towards Commerce)!

If it helps you in terms of what course to choose, just remember to consider travel time, scholarships and opportunities in the future (both work-related and ability to transfer university courses [if you're stuck between two fields] if necessary).

I didn't go to the Monash one unfortunately because I had a rehearsal, but I went last year and I think I pretty much know most of what I want to know about it, but hope you guys had fun! :)

Something happened with the train lines today though apparently. We had to take the replacement buses home which was annoying.
Oh so that's what happened. I was at Oakleigh Station today and idk why there were like so many people.

I wouldn't choose my course (and essentially my future) based on what the uni is like haha. Dig deep and see which you'd have more passion for, as Eng/Comm and Dent are completely different.

And let's be honest, the Monash campus looks pretty shit, don't let it sway you towards Monash LOL

If it helps you in terms of what course to choose, just remember to consider travel time, scholarships and opportunities in the future (both work-related and ability to transfer university courses [if you're stuck between two fields] if necessary).

While those may be important*, I think "passion" is far more important. The worst thing someone can do is choose a course they're a little less passionate about because of saving an hour on transport or something, you might seriously come to regret it later.

*(I disagree that "scholarships" is a big deal, all 'small change' compared to the future unless you're significantly financially troubled)

Something happened with the train lines today though apparently. We had to take the replacement buses home which was annoying.
