I have a friend who only put in one preference (Bachelor of Science at UoM). No need to aim for "X" number, just as many as you feel comfortable. You should be more or less prepared to join any of the courses you put down.

Hey pi is there any point of putting down rural cohort extended for a non-rural student?

Does anyone know exactly when the Umat results are released, and how we access them?

Has anyone here actually filled out all their course preferences? I've got 4 down that I'm happy with, but after that I don't know what else to put. My teachers are saying aim for around 8 but I have no idea what other courses i could put down. Also, can we ask teachers to write Statements of Support for us?
I've filled up all 12 but I hope I really don't get anything in my last 6 as they're just backups and I don't really want to do those courses.

Also the order I put mine in is a bit weird because I actually put them in the order I want to do them rather than highest ATAR seeing as my 5th preference has the highest ATAR of them all :P

Yup. A couple of non-rural people got it too.

Online in a couple of months. Check out previous UMAT results threads for specific dates.

I know it seems pretty straight forward but the structure/wording is a bit weird on VTAC for me but in terms of "Secondary Study Claims", we put down two claims if we did a VCE subject last year (basically 2014 and 2015) or do we just say 2015 since that's the year in which we finish our VCE?

I was so confused by that and just put down two claims (otherwise I guess they wouldn't count your score from last year)

I didn't put anything, because when i said 'no' at the bottom another box popped up, then another, then another.

I don't think they won't count your scores from last year, that's plainly absurd.

Is it just me or is the VCAA website not loading??

The one time I actually need to read an examiner's report for chemistry it does not work.

our careers teacher told us they wouldn't count the scores if you don't choose that option (I don't remember what it said as I haven't done any previous 3/4s)

hey guys,

when we get ranked, do they rank us by unit or the combined score of Unit 3 and 4 together (eg. mark out of 200 or w/e) because I'm afraid I've fucked up Unit 4 for one of my subjects

Holy shit.

'doesn't count' as in your ATAR or 'doesn't count' as part of your pre-reqs?

EDIT: I've checked, i didn't put a second option in, but it's been automatically entered for me as they cross check with VCAA databases.

So no need to worry guys!!!

I meant ATAR, but that's good then, at least they're doing something right (has VTAC been crashing for anyone else this week? -.-)
