Seconded

ok, i think i'll just try and stay positive :) :) there's still a chance!
same with exercise and shopping haha :) i've started running and walking long distance again. I have a treadmill so it's a bit easier for me! But yeah its either that or buying make up. and obsessing over my skin care routine. and losing myself in the depths of reddit!! what do you like shopping for, appleandbee???

Also, I get that there's a general no talk consensus which i'm cool with, but generally how is everyone feeling about it??? my personality is quite excited haha, so i've been trying really hard not to panic, mostly i'm really curious to know my GAT scores - especially because i felt the maths was a lot harder for me this year!! Trying to stay positive!!

yep, don't lose hope in humanity! I mainly shop for cheap clothes lol (I only buy clothes on sale).

I'm trying not to think about my scores (I would LOVE to get really high SS, but I know I have safety nets if things doesn't work out perfectly, I have security in getting into my desired courses at the very least if I just did mediocre).

I'm leaving the country in less then 10 hours time :D

guys , I have a question so , up until recently I thought our year level had not received the forms that enabled them to provide consent to have their results published in the herald sun and stuff. But app we actually did receive the forms , and the thing  is I didn't. And so now im kinda stressed out cause I don't want my results published (omgawd guuuyyys its gonna come out in like less than 20 days , ughh) and so I emailed my coordinator telling her this and she said that (well , long story short ) she would give me the form on my grad , which was like last night . But the thing is she didn't, and doubt she was actually planning to , cause in her email she was like , oohhh but ur like gonna get high and we want our school to showcase it and blah blah. And I was just like 'No! ' (no to getting high and no to wanting my results published). Funny thing is , she was kinda dodging me throughout the whole night cause (i'm assuming) she didn't want me to sign it and stuff,  and so I didn't end up signing it (wow , this story kinda became long).
Anyways my questions were:
-If you didn't sign the form this year what happens? Do they use last years , or do they , by default publish it (or by default , not publish it ) ?
- And , I don't remember how the form was last year so I wanted to ask , do you sign the form to say yes if  you want it published , and not sign if you don't? Or how does it work ? Would I actually need to go alllll the wayyyyyy to school to sign it ?
Thanks in advance  :)

I think the default is to not publish it. I took photos of my form both last year and this year and the "consent given for release to print media of name and school for any study with a score of 40 or higher" was a no without me correcting it.
The only thing that changed by default was that "consent for release to Government Department of personal details for awards or prizes" was changed from a no in year 11 to a yes in year 12.
So I don't think you need to worry :)

Try to contact VCAA and ask them. Make sure you have your details (e.g. student number) when you call them. Sounds to me like your coordinator won't be budged easily.

Either way, there's really little point in hiding from the newspapers. Nobody is going to think negatively of you if you get a 40+ (this is respectable is every single subject) and if they do, they're not worth your time anyway.

That's so cool you're in the air right now!!!! I like shopping for make up more than anything , but clothes are good too :) :) I keep trying to stay calm, but then getting these awful nightmares. HAVE FUN OVERSEAS!!

Same thing happened to my friend last year. She was away and then they forgot to give her that form. Automatically didn't publish it. But yeah, echoing alter maybe VCAA if you want to be like 100% sure.

Sounds splendid. Monash love their station interviews aha.

I've just been doing vineyard work for the most part as well as playing a few video games that are a bit past their expiry date. Also visited my girlfriend today and got spoiled with gifts, so my holidays are pretty great so far.

What sport/fitness are you doing to get back into shape?
Ooh vineyard work sounds pretty interesting (and a lot of work too LOL xD)

And I've always been a runner so I'm trying to get back into shape or be competitive at least primarily for the half marathon at the Melbourne Marathon next year! If I see that I'm actually losing weight from running then I'll probably use my Dad's old dumbbells to regain muscle strength (if that's how it works LOL)

Does anyone know the link in this forum with all the info about how VCE works (was in reply for a Yr 10)? Having trouble finding it again but was super useful to understand all the jargon etc.

This thread is so quiet. I keep waiting for someone to say something.
How is everyone feeling? Only 10 more days left guys!  :)  :)  :)
Also did anyone put down Monash as their first preference?

Hahaha exactly. I think ill do what i want as postgraduate. I chosen to do undergrad Accounting at monash just because its job prospects is okay. If i find what i want ill transfer after 1 year or do whatever as a graduate degree.

Ok if we all get in i say we form a baby Monash AN first year club. Because I will get lost, and it seems more fun to get lost with multiple people rather than when you're getting lost by yourself. :)

I'm kind of in the same boat. I've always been passionate about arts/law and teaching; not really sure what i'd be best at. i think i might start with law (if i get in), and then if i hate that go into education, and then if i hate that stick with an arts degree and be unemployed. Basically organised my future haha. What are you thinking of taking as a graduate degree Alps??
